JUNIOR HIGH OPEN VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

With the current school sport season on pause, we’re excited to offer local youth a chance to keep playing! Join us for our 1-Day Junior High Open Volleyball Tournament, open to all athletes and community teams from around the Edmonton area. This event gives players the opportunity to compete, have fun, and stay connected to the sport they love.

HOW TO REGISTER A TEAM: Athletes are to create a team of 6-8 players on their own within their appropriate age category and can register as a single team. Teams just need to ensure they have a minimum of 6 players always present for each match throughout the tournament day.

*Teams are welcome to carry up to 12 athletes, but the suggestion is to register a second team as more playing time will be then available for all athletes!

JUNIOR HIGH TOURNAMENT CATEGORIES

We will be offering a junior team age tournament and senior team age tournament. We will have female and male sections and will also look to provide divisions within each if numbers allow. 

​

Junior Team Category: 

Teams to be made up of athletes currently in grade 7 or 8. Teams may have mixed grades present, but must register in the Junior Team category if they have grade 7 athletes present on their team.

Senior Team Category:

Teams to be made up of athletes currently in grade 8 or 9. Teams may have mixed grades present, but must register in the Senior Team category if they have grade 9 athletes present on their team.

Registration Fee: $215.00 per team (plus GST) - per tournament

Venue: Edmonton Volleyball Pickleball Center - 9455 45 Ave NW, T6E 6B9 - Edmonton Alberta

 

IMPORTANT TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

​-Each tournament category has space for 8 girls teams and 8 boys teams

-Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 4 games

-There will be no referees present. Matches will be self refereed by the playing athletes on each court. The Center will have a few key individuals present throughout the day to provide support if needed.

-All teams registered must have 1 adult present with the team during matches. This does not have to be a coach, just an adult representative. Coaches are welcome.

- Schedule: First games will start at approximately 8:00am with the final match to begin around 6:00pm

- Prizes: Awarded to winning teams of each division
