Presented by TEAM CANADA Women's Paralympic team. Come play with the Nation's Best!
On Feb 4 the Canadian Women's sitting paralympic team will be hosting a sitting tournament out of the Center.
At 5:00 PM there will be a "Lesson from a Paralympian" where a team member will go over specific rules, strategy and team play within the sport of sitting volleyball.
Matches will begin at 5:30. Teams will be placed into pools of 8 where they will compete in a round robin format. All matches will be one set to 25. The winner will be determined by the best sets for an against ratio. In the event of a tie the best points differential will win. Two paralympic teams will be competing in the tournament.
Teams will not be required to have a specific number of Male or Female Athletes.
At approximately 10:30 PM the two paralympic teams will play against each other on CENTER court. Teams are encouraged to stay after the tournament and watch an amazing match.
A portion of the registration proceeds will go directly to supporting the Women's paralympic team on their way to the podium. Raffle prizes will be available with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the team.
