At the Center, it is our intent to provide athletes with exceptional volleyball instruction in a positive, encouraging and challenging environment. Our development programs emphasize fundamental skills, team play, sportsmanship, conditioning and fun. We take pride in helping athletes reach their full potential, and guiding them to become technically skilled and knowledgeable athletes. Our number one goal is to provide a positive learning experience for all.
Our November 2020 program is focused on participating in the sport of volleyball within your sporting Cohort. Our November 2020 fall youth skill development cohort program is focused on participating in the sport of volleyball within your sporting Cohort. Throughout the month, athletes will receive technical instruction on the fundamental volleyball skills including passing, setting, serving, attacking, individual defense, team defence and blocking and game play. Our fall youth cohorts welcome all levels of athletes, experienced or novice level who want to learn the game and improve their volleyball skills.
Players will be grouped into cohorts of a maximum of 28-42 athletes depending on the Cohort registered in and number of Athletes registered. Once in your Cohort coaches may further divide members into groupings of 14. Each Cohort will have designated coaches which will oversee group practices and individual Athlete development. Cohorts will have 1 or 2 practices during the week and 1 practice on Sunday.
Each Cohort will have one mini tournament day at the end of November within their designated Cohort.
Due to Alberta Health Guidelines and for the safety of all involved participants, spectators will not be allowed within the facility. Athletes will be required to self check each day before joining their Cohort and anyone showing symptoms will not be allowed to participate. A Covid document will be emailed to each participate prior to November 1 which outlines further protocols.
